How can I be of help?

Dr. Deborah M Moran

It’s hard to see a psychiatrist! I see people in distress due to a crisis, a loss, a trauma, or a major life change. This distress manifests as depression, mood swings, anxiety, racing thoughts, paranoia, insomnia, or other symptoms.

People are complicated, with a rich story to tell. As part of the evaluation I will take a comprehensive history listening for your psychological, emotional, biological, and contextual clues. I listen to both the lyrics and the melody of your life.

Empathic Listening

Empathic listening is a crucial part of my practice. I will respect your boundaries while asking questions that elicit key clues and important information. This is an interactive and iterative process. You and I will work together to create a formulation, and it is important to me to create a safe and comfortable space for this work.

I believe that every person has a story to tell and every story is interesting. My job is uncover that story and reveal the hidden or repressed trauma that is causing you stress.

Physician and Psychiatrist

I love being a physician and a psychiatrist. I truly enjoy working with each patient to unlock the puzzle and put the pieces together. Each treatment is a gratifying adventure, and I always have a lot of fun.
